Bedford Apartments for Rent

Located right between the metro areas of Dallas and Fort Worth is a suburb that more and more people are calling home. Bedford is a quaint suburb within northeast Tarrant County that has plenty of apartments to rent for young families.

The population of Tarrant, as estimated in 2005 by the U.S. Census Bureau, is just over 48,000. Its location between Dallas and Fort Worth give the adults plenty of employment opportunities, as well as lots of places to shop and to take the kids for entertainment. And apartments in the area area are quite affordable.

Bedford covers an area of 10 sq. miles. Almost all of it is land, with very little in the way of bodies of water. Bedford is part of the Bedford Independent School District.

The population of Bedford is primarily white, although there is a racial mix of a higher percentage than other similar-sized communities. About 87.6 percent of the population is white, 2ith 7.2 percent Hispanic / Latino, 3.65 percent African American, .51 percent Native American, 3.6 percent Asian, and .25 percent Pacific Islander.

Got kids? If so, you’ll be glad to know that lots of your neighbors in Bedford do, too. In fact, of the suburb’s 20,200 households, about 29 percent have children under age 18 in the house. About half — 50 percent — have married couples who live together, whereas 9 percent have a female head-of-house with no husband present. The average size of a family in Bedford is 3 members.

There apparently is a good opportunity to make a good living in the area. The median household income in the suburb is more than $54,400. The average family income is $71,000–well above both the state and national average. As with most places in Texas, the male median income is higher than the female: $46,000 for the male and $33,000 for the female.

The most common occupations for the male population include:

Computer specialists - seven percent
Sales workers, which includes supervisors - six percent
Management occupations other than farmers / farm managers - five percent
Retail sales other than cashiers - four percent
Repair occupations / electrical mechanics, and similar - four percent
Business operations - four percent
Sales services, reps, manufacturing and wholesale - four percent

The most common occupations for the female population include:

Teachers (including elementary / middle, kindergarten and preschool) - seven percent
Administrative assistants / secretaries - seven percent
Other office work - seven percent
Management jobs other than farm managers - five percent
Sales and sales related work, including supervisory roles - five percent
Are you a lover of the outdoors? As might be expected in a Texas town, the winters are rarely too cold, usually dipping no lower than the 40s or 50s in the winter. Even the summers generally don’t get hotter than the 90s, although the humidity can be uncomfortable, especially during July and August.

In short, Bedford apartments are good place for those looking for a good job, nice neighborhoods and a good climate. It might be the perfect spot with an apartment waiting for you.
