How To Build Good Credit
Having good credit is very important in todays day and age. When you apply for an apartment, buy a car, and attempt to purchase a home, your credit will be evaluated. We have included in this short guide how to build good credit over a certain length of time. It doesn’t matter if you already have good credit or poor credit.  Read on to find out some tips on how to increase your credit score.

What Exactly Is A Credit Rating

Its really important to understand how the credit agencies determine your credit score. Read on to get a better idea of the five factors you should be familiar with.

Your Payment History: Do you pay your bills on time?  If you consistently make late payments and are delinquent, this probably will lower your credit score over time.

How Much Credit Do You Have Available: Your credit score will also  be based upon how much credit you have compared to how much you really use. If you use less than 30% on a regular basis, this will be looked upon favorable.

What Credit Are You Using:

You will want to have a mix of different types of credit. This will include credit cards, mortgages, car loans, and other types of credit. The wider the variety, the better the credit score.

Other factors will include how many accounts you have recently opened and how much credit history you have.

Remember that these are not weighted equally. If you really want to increase you credit score know that it will take additional time. Make sure you make on-time payments and that you don’t use all of your credit that is available at once.

And if you can pay off your credit card bills every month and just use a small portion of the overall balance, you may be able to achieve a high credit score.

Building Credit Over Time

Getting a great credit score does take some time.  Don’t trust services that claim to erase your bad credit for money.

Be sure you pull a free copy of your credit score.
Get yourself at least one major credit card.
Don’t let your payment disputes be given to a collection company.
